Sunny Health & Fitness indoor cycle review (SF-B1002 / Fitness Pro II)
The budget spin bike you can still buy parts for in ten years. That is the entire argument, and it is a good one.

Sunny Health & Fitness has sold variations of the same heavy, simple indoor cycle for well over a decade. The SF-B1002 is the model number most people search for; the current catalog listing is the Fitness Pro II, which occupies the same slot. This review covers what is currently purchasable.
The argument for this bike in one sentence
Sunny sells replacement parts for its own machines, directly, years after you buy. Brake pads, belts, pedals, bearings, seats. Almost no other brand at this price does, and it is the single thing that determines whether a budget bike lasts three years or fifteen.
The machine itself
Friction resistance via a felt pad, a heavy steel frame, and a basic battery LCD. Sunny does not publish a flywheel weight or a capacity figure on this listing, so both sit as not published in our table.
It is deliberately low-tech. There is no Bluetooth, no app, no account and nothing that can be discontinued by a software update. For a certain kind of buyer that is not a limitation, it is the point.
Friction resistance: the honest trade
| This bike (friction) | A magnetic bike at the same price | |
|---|---|---|
| Wear part | Felt pad — wears, replaceable for ~$20 | None |
| Noise | Audible hiss, squeaks when damp | Near-silent |
| Levels | Unmarked knob | Often unmarked too at this price |
| Lifespan ceiling | Indefinite — every part is replaceable | Until the resistance unit fails |
That last row is the counter-intuitive one. A magnetic resistance unit has no wear part, but when it eventually fails it is usually not replaceable on a budget bike. A friction pad wears constantly and costs twenty dollars forever.

Who should buy it
- Buy it if you value repairability over refinement and intend to keep the machine a very long time.
- Buy a [magnetic bike](/exercise-bikes/spin-bikes-under-500) instead if noise matters — shared walls, early mornings, a sleeping household.
- Buy the [Sunny Premium Smart Studio bike](/exercise-bikes/under-1000) if you want Sunny's parts support with magnetic resistance and a connected console.
